How We Met - July, 1992 - Private RP Part 2

"You always have plenty for lunch the next day.. or dinner depending on when you get here... Mamma, heavenly as always!" He practicaly moaned and melted from the first bite. "Thank ya darlin!" Chuckling he happily dug back into his food, knowing at this rate he was going to be well full before he even got halfway through. "Though make sure to keep room for desert.. trust me, with your sweet tooth, you will die and go to heaven with her beignets."

"What are beignets?" He used the question as an excuse to eat at a more normal pace than his mouth wanted him to. As good as it was, he didn't really care what it was actually called. Since Tseng had mentioned 'sweet', Sephiroth assumed they were some type of dessert. A pastry maybe, judging by the sound of the name.

"Here ya'r sugar, try one and tell old mamma watcha think." Mamma Odie set a plate with a heavily powdered beignet next to Sephiroth's plate and moved off to another table with a plate full of them. Tseng snickered ducking his head, "word of caution.. woman is as blind as a bat but her hearing.. even better than mine." He kept his voice low so only Sephiroth could hear.

"I heard that. You keep talkin like that you ain't getting no beignets from me."

"But, Mamma Odie! You love me, you know it" The old woman cackled moving back up to their table and reached up pinching Tseng's cheek. "I do, all ya Turks I love ya. Now back to eatin ya'lls food." Laughing softly, he rubbed his poor abused cheek and went back to eating.

Sephiroth's eyes dropped immediately to the new item on the table, it certainly had the appearance of a pastry. He'd only seen powdered sugar a few times, but knew that was what it was by the scent. He also knew he wouldn't be able to eat another bite of the food until he tried it, and did so.

Sephiroth was almost more of a puppy right now than a kitten, just like with a puppy his attention was instantly diverted to the 'treat' and nothing else would matter until he had taken it. Shaking his head slightly he went back to his own food, but had already slowed way down as his stomach which just minutes before had been protesting the lack of food in it, was now protesting the amount in it. He had killed off most the fried food, which was so giving him heartburn later, but it was the food that didn't taste good reheated.

The beignet was gone in seconds, but Sephiroth managed not to get any powder on his face in the process. Actually, he was honestly surprised over that with how fast he'd eaten it. It wasn't really a food designed to be eaten neatly. That gone, he was able to return to the remaining food.

He blinked slowly, he could have sworn that a beignet had been there just a second ago. "Is she making vanishing beignets now?" God damn that boy had to be part hoover to suck that thing down so fast. And here he thought Reno and Rude could pack those away and fast... they had nothing on this kid. Groaning slightly he put his fork down slouching down in his chair some, "my stomach is telling me it's full..."

Sephiroth smiled around his next bite at Tseng's comment. The groan and following words had him blinking slightly and looking down at his brother's plate to gauge how much he had eaten. He wasn't quite full himself yet, though that was both because he'd been eating slower and tended to eat more than his brother did.

"Don't even try and compare our plates, I'm not a fourteen year old SOLDIER....My growing is pretty much slowed to a crawl, you're still going through a growth spurt." Aka that boy was going to be eating like a damn zolom soon, and he was not looking forward to that grocery bill. "I don't think so young one.." Mamma Odie set a decent plate size full of beignets in front of him. "Oh you are trying to make me fat..."

She cackled and wandered back towards the kitchen taking Tseng's plate with her and boxing it up along with a decent amount of beignets for them to take with them.

Snickering quietly, Sephiroth sped up his eating a bit. Tseng was done, so he didn't want to delay them too long. Though Tseng didn't look like he wanted to move quite yet. He did want another few beigets before they left.

He soooo did not want to move at the moment, if he wasn't in public he would pop the button on his pants just to give his stomach a little more room. He loved coming to eat here, Mamma Odie never let him leave here hungry, or in a bad mood. Having the boxes set down in front of him he reluctantly moved pulling out his wallet.

His own stomach starting to protest, Sephiroth finally set down his fork. Reaching the state of 'too full' wasn't something he wanted while out in Midgar. Above-Plate it might have been okay, but he didn't think it was a good idea under the Plate even with an on-duty Turk around. He'd decimated a good portion of his plate, but still had enough left to count as dinner later.

Black eyes eyed his plate and chuckled, "told ya.." There was no way even Sephiroth could have polished it off. "I think once your older and up to first class you'll be able to polish that plate off no problem." One of the many daughters took Sephiroth plate away instead replacing it with his own decent sized plate of beignets. "I'll have this boxed for ya in no time."

He shrugged one shoulder at the estimate, if the plate was that size, maybe. He was First Class in Mako levels already and could have eaten some more of it if he'd wanted to reach his brother's state. However... Hojo had told him he hadn't plateaued quite yet with Mako, and from the sounds of it he still had a good half a foot of height left to grow into. Seeing the plate, Sephiroth's eyes trailed up to the girl's face, smiling slightly and thanking her before picking up one and eating it at a slightly more normal pace compared to the first.

The young girl blushed bright red at the smile and giggled. A slightly perverted smirk crossed Tseng's face as he looked at his little brother. "So you decided what team you bat for? Or are you still playing the middle ground." It was pretty damn obvious he found Katana attractive, but he didn't know if woman caught his eye as well, and he needed a distraction from his overly full stomach at the moment.

Biting into a third beiget, Sephiroth blinked slightly at his brother, processing his words and expression. Completely oblivious to the fact he was the reason the girl had giggled, he was a bit confused as to where this change of subject had come from. He tilted his head slightly, considering the question, Katana was proof he was indeed attracted to men... but he had found members of the opposite sex attractive as well. Not as strong of a feeling as he had for Katana, but still something. Sephiroth's eyes narrowed a little as he considered whether he should actually voice that or not. Teasing was still a rather benign reaction, though. "Both... I think."

"Doesn't surprise me honestly, you can make all the pretty little girls blush." He tilted his head towards the young girl who was coming back towards there, cheeks bright red as she came to stand next to Sephiroth. "Here you go." She gave him a shy little smile.

Tseng found himself biting his lower lip, and pulling his phone out at the same time snapping a picture, he really was going to have to start carrying around a camera when he was together with Sephiroth, start snapping pictures of little milestones in the boys life.

Make girls blush? Sephiroth blinked again, not recalling ever getting a girl to blush. Though, for the most part, the only females he'd been around were scientists, Turks, or the rare cadet/Third. He glanced up as the girl returned, thanking her again, and tried to disguise his surprise when he realized she was blushing. Oh... Not really sure what to make of it, he pretended that he hadn't noticed and remained polite.

"Awww... my little Sephy is growing up to be a heart breaker..." Tseng teased as the girl left, he was, he could see the trail of broken hearts already starting. The young boy was a rare beauty, that alone would attract countless men and women to him, add on top of it the prestige of being Shinra's golden boy.... the front man for SOLDIER. Yeah he could see Sephiroth fan clubs popping up like the higher first class that were more in the public eye had, only his would be larger.. and probably more fanatical. Joy....

He winced at the new shortened form of his name, Seph was one thing.... but Sephy?... no, just no. It sounded like a something you'd call a small girl or an infant. "Please don't call me that...." Sephiroth wasn't sure he liked being called a 'heart breaker' either... it sounded like a rather unappealing term. The beiget in his hand quickly disappeared as he mulled it over.

"Alright.. alright." Chuckling he shut his phone and leaned back closing his eyes. He would love to just slip into a food induced coma right about now, he was to happy and content to get up and actually do anything. But he had promised the boy a trip into wallmarket and knew what stall he was taking him to first. "When ever you are ready.. your carrying me out of here..."

"Lazy..." Sephiroth quipped, smiling, but finished off his beigets quickly. He didn't really want to waste them and they seemed to be the sort of food that tasted best while still warms. "You ate too much, didn't you?" Sephiroth found it a little amusing that his brother could look about ready to fall asleep in the middle of the Slums after all the warnings he'd been giving him. Even if they were in a friendly location.

"Mmmhmmm...." Was actually starting to drift off, head tilted back over the back of the chair. "Hope Two guns is watching Anubis." He wasn't worried, this wouldn't be the first time he had to leave Anubis while he was down here off duty. He had trained him to find one of the other Turks, and not many people dared to approach him because of his breed and he was well known in the slums for being an attack dog.

He nudged Tseng with his foot, snickering slightly, "I'm not carrying you, Niisan." He could, technically, but that would mean leaving the food behind.

Mama Odie moved over shaking her head and putting her hands on her hips. 'Every time with that youngin.. His lot always ends up sleepin for a good hour in their chairs, I swear i'm gonna put couches in 'ere just for um." Moving to the kitchen she grabbed a fresh beignets from there and walked over holding it under his nose. Instantly he was sitting up and following it even with his eyes closed.
