How We Met - July, 1992 - Private RP Part 2

Tseng reached up putting a hand over his mouth pressing them both farther into the shadows. A few moments, the two Turks he had surpassed moved passed behind them was none other than the fat man. He hummed slightly looking around, "I could have sworn I saw that new pretty Turk out here with some pretty little thing." Tseng shivered violently holding his breath as Shinra looked down the alleyway. "I believed he moved towards the exit sir, perhaps heading back up to the plate."

"hmm.. perhaps." The fat bastard continued on, but Tseng didn't dare even breath until he had disappeared out of the market and then some.

Sephiroth was more than a little horrified by the thought that the President had referred to him as a 'pretty little thing' even taking into account that he hadn't gotten a good look at him. That he'd referred to Tseng as pretty just added to that. He had heard the President criticize Hojo for his looking too delicate for SOLDIER when he was younger, but those comments had ended a few years ago.

God he really, really hated that fat ass, and having him called pretty just sent shivers of absolute disgust down his spine. His stomach churned at the mere thought of what was going through that perverted assholes mind. He had just come from the honeybee, which last he heard only had girls but it was well known if you were a pretty enough boy he would take you.

"He's been trying to get a hold of me since I first was introduced to him, I've always been with other Turks because I was in my shadowing phase... now though." Lowering his hand from Sephiroth's mouth he instead wrapped it around the boy pulling him close. Anubis was growling in the direction the president had gone.

Leaning into the embrace, Sephiroth shivered slightly and tried to bury his disgust over the whole thing. He reached down with his free hand to rest it on Anubis, both to calm the dog and calm himself. He was just glad the President never made comments like that about him within his hearing when he knew it was him.

He gently trailed his fingers up along Sephiroth's back, hoping in some way to help calm the teen as much as calm himself. "Disgusting fat pig.. The girls at honeybee must be really desperate for money to put with both him and Corneo..." He shivered again, pulling Sephiroth even closer. "Now that he's gone, did you want to run around some more since we're down here.. kill a little time until the next train so we don't end up on the same train?"

Being on the same train as the President - even if it was a different car - was certainly not a pleasant thought at the moment. "Yeah," Sephiroth murmured an affirmative. There had to be something else they could do down here to fill the time.

"Alright, we'll take a wander through see if anything else catches your eye." He moved out cautiously just in case the fat ass had for some strange ass reason decided to double back for something or another. Keeping Anubis close he batted away a young kid that tried to reach into his side pocket.

An hour, a few disappointed pickpockets, and a second smelly train ride later, they were back on the Plate again. Thankfully... the President hadn't missed the previous train or returned to Wall Market during that time. Sephiroth had mostly managed to shove the overheard words out of his mind, at least for the time being.

"Oh sweet mako polluted air.." He didn't dare take a deep breath, not in this air.. but it was good to be back out of the heat and stench of the slums. "I can't wait for this mission out in Kalm this week.. some what fresh air, I honestly can't see how people can breath here." His lungs had burned for weeks when he first arrived in midgar, he had adapted but he could still tell his lung capacity wasn't up to what it should have been.

"After a while... you don't notice it anymore," Sephiroth shrugged slightly. Honestly, he only noticed the Mako when he paid attention, the smog from the oil-based machines was what still bothered him. Maybe it was the fact he had so much Mako in his system that kept it from bothering his eyes like other chemicals did.

"I've been here two years now, and i still notice it all the time." He jerked forward some as Anubis caught sight of a cat up in a window. "Anubis.. why do you always do that with that one cat? I swear that cat must taunt him or something cause he only pulls like this with that one." It was honestly the strangest thing he had ever seen, Rod had a cat and other than Tseng didn't go anywhere near his apartment unless he wanted to sneeze like hell, Anubis was fine with her.

"Maybe you're just oversensitive to it," he countered, then snickered at Anubis' behavior. He hadn't really seen many cats, beyond a few seemingly homeless ones. He actually kind of liked them.... when they didn't look like they'd rather bury their teeth in his skin.

Tseng shrugged slightly pulling Anubis away, "most people that grow up outside the eastern continent probably are, this whole area including Kalm and the grass lands are flooded with the smog from here, it's less the farther east you go but you can still smell the mako pollution."

The clearer air out near the Farm had been a welcome change from Midgar. Though in Sephiroth's case it had been more the smells that didn't exist in Midgar that had drawn his interest rather than the lack of pollution in the air.

"Come on Seph, I still feel the need to slip into a food induced coma." Heading back into the complex, Phil only gave them a knowing smile and held out a plate he had already sitting out waiting for them. "Alright, alright old man.." Chuckling softly Tseng pulled one of the larger boxes from Mamma Odie's and set it on the counter. "Hand them out, i'm going to upstairs and pass out.. and Rude gets a few more."

"You stole his glasses again I see.."

"Yeah but this was for a good cause." Waving to the man he hit the elevator up and almost staggered into his room and collapsed on the bed. "night night..."

He snickered slightly at seeing Tseng stumble away, hearing the bed shift as he flopped down. He put away the leftovers, and put away Anubis' leash. Seeing as Tseng still had his ID card, Sephiroth retreated to his own room. Shedding the glasses, beanie, and sweatshirt, he reclaimed the book he'd been reading the other day and settled on the bed to read it.
