How We Met - July, 1992 - Private RP Part 2

Eyeing them both, he huffed quietly at the teasing - he really had no allies in that did he? With how they were acting he half-expected Tseng to have purposefully hid them somewhere odd. Either just now, or while he was still unconscious. When he spotted them, he threw Tseng a mildly exasperated look and moved over, crouching to put them on. Halfway through zipping one, his hand darted up without warning for the back of one of Tseng's knees.

Tseng laughed seeing Sephiroth had figured it out but squealed loudly and jerked back toppling over the other side of the hospital bed. Nan started laughing hard seeing the hand shoot around the base of the bed and give a playful yank on Sephiroth's hair. "Teen's.. they are always entertaining." He was glad to see if nothing else that Tseng was feeling a little better, hopefully Sephiroth would be able to keep his mood up.

Sephiroth smiled at the squeal, satisfied that he'd gotten him back for the teasing. Tseng falling off the bed was a bit more of a reaction than he had expected though. He quickly finished zipping his boots in time to feel the tug on his hair. Ow. He swatted lightly at the reaching hand, but chuckled quietly despite the brief sting.

"Asshole." Tseng teased pushing himself back up and moved over to his casual lover and mother. "So how long do I have you mom?" Kiyomi wrapped her arm around her baby following him out of the room, Nan waiting for Sephiroth. "Only until tomorrow, I'm afraid your father doesn't know I left and simply believe I am with my mother." He nodded growing slightly sad that he had her for such a short time. "But as long as I know you are doing okay I can go back happy, make sure to keep in touch though baby alright." Tseng nodded leaning against her. "I will momma." He headed out of the hospital not even giving anyone a second look heading for the parking garage.

Sephiroth's smile only widened at the insult, and he realized for the first time that an insult could actually be spoken without being insulting. Casting a final look around the room and failing to spot his cap, he gave it up as a lost cause. He'd just have to go back to avoiding being seen and buy himself a new one. Not having any more reason to stay, he followed quickly.

Nan made sure to stay in the back of the pack so that no one would try to approach until they got down to the parking structure for the hospital. "Company vehicle or your personal Nan?" Tseng looked around the garage trying to spot either a Turk plated car or nans SUV he liked to drive. "Company... Rod borrowed the SUV and blew a tire on it, and in turn put it into the wall." Tseng flinched slightly at that, understanding how big of a pain it was since Rod and Reno both had a nasty habit of destroying cars. "That sucks dude..." Spying Nan's company car he opened the passenger door for his mother before sliding into the back.

Into the wall? Ouch. The casualness with which they spoke of it had him thinking it was a regular occurrence. Sephiroth made a mental note to never ride in a vehicle that Rod drove. Just because he was enhanced and healed fast didn't mean he wanted to end up in a crash if he could avoid it. He quickly slipped into the back with Tseng, maybe he didn't mind hospitals in the way Tseng did... but this particular visit had been less than.... enjoyable and he'd rather just put it in the past quickly.

Not bothering with a seat belt Tseng slumped down in the seat and yawned. He was tired but he didn't dare close his eyes till he was in the comfort of his own apartment. "Onward chauffeur!" Nan had just gotten up to a fast enough speed that when he slammed on the breaks Tseng hit his back seat. "Seat belt check..." Growling Tseng picking himself up from where he had slid and smacked Nan's head cursing him out in Wutain before sitting back in his seat and pulling his seat belt on. "Should have been wearing your seatbelt Tseng.." Nan chuckled and took off back towards the Turks apartment.

His seat belt dug into his neck at the sudden stop, and he reached up to push it aside an inch even as he shifted closer to the actual buckle in an attempt to keep it from happening again. He supposed that was better than being flung around on the seat like Tseng had, though. Sephiroth's shoulders shook in silent laughter, amused by the act and following cursing. He really should try to learn Wutain... the spoken language if nothing else.

The car right back had ended up in an all out verbal insult war between Nan and Tseng, intermixing between Midgarian and Wutain. Kiyomi had become a giggle blob in the front seat listening to the two verbal sparing, with Tseng ending up the loser as Nan got a zinger in. "I hate you..." Tseng jumped out of the car and headed into the apartment complex. "Go on up Tseng, i'll get your mom all checked in and bring her up." Nodding Tseng looked back to Sephiroth knowing he would follow and heading to the elevator. "Wonder if i'm going to get pounced the minute I walk in the door again.."

He'd ended up quietly snickering after a few more exchanges, but didn't cut in, amused by the banter. He kept close to Tseng, a little surprised to find himself relaxing somewhat as they stepped inside the building. He supposed that was what came with feeling safe and 'at home' somewhere. "... literally?" Sephiroth asked, he knew Anubis like attention, but he hadn't seen him actually jump onto Tseng.

"Just watch..." Tseng moved up to his apartment sliding his ID card and handed his bags off to Sephiroth. Pushing open the door he stepped inside, "Anubis! ...3...2...1.." Minute he hit one a black and tan blur flew from the living room and jumped up into Tseng's arms, the boy naturally catching the dog and leaned back as the mutt started to lick his face. "Told you..."

Sephiroth laughed softly at the sight of the dog's greeting. It must've been something Tseng had taught him, as the only time he'd seen 'pouncing' by anything like Anubis was when they were aiming to bite something's throat. Where-as Anubis was acting like an overgrown puppy. "Pouncing indeed..." he murmured as he stepped inside.

"Ugh.. down dumb dog.." Tseng opened his arms causing the dog to drop. This didn't phase the dog at all, instead made him charge across the house and come racing back at a dead sprint and start barking at them before charging off and back again. Rolling his eyes, on the charge back Tseng reached out grabbing the nub of a tail which acting like a pull start. Anubis froze in place looking at his tail before trying to chase it across the living room. After several rotations he stopped, growled at it, and went in the other direction. "Really, really dumb dog..."

Setting the bags down, Sephiroth removed his boots, dropping them back in the spot that amounted as their 'home' in Tseng's apartment. Watching Anubis, he snickered, "He's as odd as you are." And somehow that suited quite well. If being inside the compound put the Third at ease, being inside the apartment made him want to go find a comfortable spot and pass out again.

"Haha very funny... don't make me give the command again.. I will." Tseng kicked off his own shoes and wandered over to the sofa and collapsed into it. "Oh home sweet home.." It really felt good to be home, felt even more right that Sephiroth was here with him. He moaned softly and pulled one of the blankets down from the back of the couch and curled up in it laying down. "I missed this couch.."

He only chuckled again at the threat.

"I didn't think we were gone long enough for you to miss it," Sephiroth replied, moving over and sitting by his head. He didn't do or say anything further for a moment, just watching Tseng. Then in a gesture that was becoming almost reflexive now, he started to gently run his fingers through the older teen's hair, "Are you going to try to sleep again?"

There was no response from the older teen as he was already out like a light.

Anubis raced back into the room one of his tug ropes in his mouth and stopped directly in front of Sephiroth, making a growling noise at him demanding his attention. The little nub of a tail wagging happily behind him, big brown eyes almost begging the young teen. He had been alone for way to long and now there was people here to pay attention to him.

He smiled, glad to see him actually sleeping, and hoped that being home would allow him to sleep more peacefully. And that if being home didn't quite do it, that not being alone would. Sephiroth gave the doberman a warning look, stating firmly, "Don't you dare wake him." Before snagging the other end of the toy with his unoccupied hand.

Anubis growled at him and started to pull on the toy in a tug-o-war with the young teen. He would growl at Sephiroth and jerk his head from side to side trying to get it away from the teen before trying to pull back with all his strength, nails slipping on the hardwood floor that was the Turks living room floor.

The front door opened a few minutes later, Kiyomi stepping in with quiet feet. Anubis instantly dropped the toy, hackles going up growl turning from play to who the #%!@ are you, I don't know you and your on my turf.

It was interesting pitting his strength against a dog. Easy to keep a grip with his strength, but rather amusing to watch and see what he'd try to get it away from him. More than once he was tempted to let go and see how he might react.

Sephiroth's eyes widened slightly as the doberman growled at her, memory of his own first meeting surfacing. "Anubis, sit," he said firmly. Maybe he wasn't Tseng, but the dog did seem to trust him. Hopefully that would be enough as he'd rather Tseng stay asleep.

Anubis looked back at Sephiroth as if unsure if he should obey or not. Kiyomi in turn blinked seeing the doberman growling at her, startled to see her son owned such a vicious looking dog. "Anubis.. sit" Came the tired voice from the couch, but Tseng didn't move only curled up more and went right back to sleep. "Kyoya and his animals..." Kiyomi shook her head watching as the dog sat with out question.

Sephiroth eyed his brother for a moment, making sure he wasn't still awake. Satisfied that he had fallen back to sleep, he set the toy down to reach out and run his hand along Anubis' back. He was a little put out that he wasn't enough authority for Anubis, but he supposed he wasn't Tseng and had only met the dog a few days ago. Lifting his gaze back to Kiyomi, smiling slightly, "He growled at me too the first time. He's protective, but very affectionate."

Anubis started to wag his tail his back leg going nuts as Sephiroth hit a spot that was really itchy. "Oh I know, every animal Kyoya has ever owned was like this.. you should see that damn mule of his.." Moving over she reached out allowing the dog to smell her hand before scratching behind his ear. Her eyes swept around the apartment, while they were used to living in luxury being part of the Akera family it was obvious her son was doing very well for himself. "Now I know the eastern continents use Chocobo's.. do you have a place here in Midgar that you can keep them?"

Mule? What was that? Tseng had said Bucephalus was a horse... did he have some other animal that was only native to Wutai? Sephiroth tilted his head, "There's a farm further east that raises and rents them, but I think there's a small stable in Sector 1. The land around Midgar isn't really fertile enough to raise animals."
