Sword of Legends - August 1992 - Private RP

Yawning widely, he didn’t care at this moment that Veld wanted him up. Closing his eyes once more he fell back onto the bed and curled up around his pillow. “Wake me up at a more reasonable hour will ya otouto.” He knew if he didn’t show up at least out in the hallway to show he was, Veld was going to send someone in to make sure he woke up.

Sephiroth just blinked a little at Tseng for a moment as he processed it. How... was that fair? His brother had gone to sleep before him, before everyone else, actually... and yet he seemed to be more determined to have at least a few minutes more sleep. "Niisan..."

Grumbling something, Tseng reached down pulling the blankets back up and over his head blocking out the world around him, or at least he hoped to. He didn’t know why he was so tired recently, at least since yesterday he had wanted to do nothing more than curl up in a warm bed and pass out for eternity.

He was tempted to join Tseng in trying to catch a little more sleep... but he'd rather not be lying there if someone thought it a smart idea to use that horn in the room. It'd been loud enough in the hall, Sephiroth didn't want to know how loud it was in close quarters. Sighing softly, he got out of bed and moved over to where he'd left his boots the night before.

The bedroom door was opened a few minutes later and Veld stuck his head in. “You’re kidding me he’s still..” He stopped for a second trying to think back to exactly how long Tseng had been sleeping. “Sephiroth, about what time would you say he left dinner last night?” He hadn’t really been paying attention, he just knew that at some point, Tseng had disappeared and could only figure the boy had gone to bed.

Sephiroth glanced up at his uncle's voice, and tilted his head at the question, sitting on the edge of the bed as he thought back. "Ten after nine," he was fairly certain that was right, though he might be a few minutes off, he was better with present time than recalling time.

Veld counted back to how long he had seen Tseng sleeping so far. “ He’s been asleep easily twenty hours today, he woke up only a hour or so before they went up to kidnap you.” Moving over to Tseng’s bag he started to dig through it. “ah.. that explains why..” He pulled out a perscription bottle looking it over. “Motion sickness, I forgot he gets mild cases of it, this stuff seems to knock him out cold.”

"...is it better to let him sleep it off, or make him get up?" Sephiroth asked curiously. The painkillers when Tseng was injured had made him tired, but that was a good thing because it helped his brother heal. Motion sickness in comparison... was a temporary ailment that should in theory fade once he was back on solid ground.

“We just need to get him up and moving and maybe get a monster or two in his system and he should be fine.. the key thing here is getting him up and moving.” Moving over to the bed he pulled the foot side of the covers off revealing both bare feet. Reaching down he started to tickle both feet.

Instantly Tseng shot out of bed with a screech no man his age should have any right in making.

Sephiroth started to chuckle, then remembered what happened the last time he'd laughed at his brother. Not quite awake enough himself to want to deal with whatever Tseng came up with, he quickly slipped from the room to leave Veld to deal with him.

Squeaking as Veld continued to assault him, Tseng jumped from the bed and shot into the bathroom.

Outside it was still early dawn, the suns growing rays hit the ocean in just the right way it turned the normally clear blue water into glittering shades of red and purple. “Hey Seph.” Most of the Turks were already up on deck, looking out from where they were anchored a bit off shore, the boat too large to dock any closer in. Even in the early morning light the temperature was beginning to get hot. “It’s going to be hot today, not one to go running around on the sand barefoot.” Rod grumbled at that and took off back downstairs to grab his shoes for the time being.

Eyes flitting over each person, noting who was up on the deck, before turning to their new surroundings. The shore first, but inevitably his eyes fell on the way the water was tinted with curiosity. It wasn't a natural coloration... but Sephiroth found he didn't really care what caused it to momentarily change color. It was.... pretty.

“Beautiful out here isn’t it.” Katana moved up beside him, leaning in against the railing, the water reflecting off his glasses. “If this wasn’t such a huge tourist spot, it would be wonderful to just live out here, Legendary does, you should be meeting him at some point this week.”

"Is he another Turk?" Sephiroth asked curiously, though he supposed with a moniker like 'Legendary' it was likely a given. All the Turks seemed to have some sort of call-name, and for the most part used them over their real names. Though.... he realized he'd never heard a call-name for Tseng, they all just used his middle or first name.

Katana nodded tilting his head slightly to regard Sephiroth. “He was actually an Anti- Shinra and was pretty much a legend before he joined the Turks, but...”

“He’s on house arrest.” Gun shot in leaning up on the other side of Sephiroth. “No one but Veld and Reno know why, but he’s been on house arrest for years here in Costa. He comes to help if we really really need him, but he just sits out on the beach most the time chasing women.”

He gets paid the same as the rest of the Turks - for spending most of his time lazing about enjoying himself... That seemed rather unfair, less a punishment and more a reward.

“Lucky bastard.” Katana grumbled laying his head on the railing. “He is a lucky bastard... we should kick his ass today.” Tseng moved up behind Sephiroth a can of monster in each hand and slumped up against him laying his chin on the top of his head. “Night night...”

"Niisan... I'm not a headrest..." It wasn't like Tseng was that heavy to him... but there was still a difference between setting his chin on his head and using him as a support. He was curious as to how long the medication would take to wear off, though...

“Yes you are shut up..” Chuckling Katana decided to take pity on the young teen and pulled Tseng off him before he fell asleep on him. “Come here tired one.” Not complaining at all at being taken away from his shorter complaining pillow, Tseng leaned willingly against the older, taller Turk. “when did you take the meds?” Tseng shrugged, “before we left Shinra.” They should be wearing off soon then.

Sephiroth smiled slightly at the reprimand, but supposed he was a headrest... at least until he got too tall for Tseng to keep doing it. Though... then he might just start using his shoulders as a headrest...

“You poor thing you’re so tired aren’t you.” Katana’s voice was almost a coo you would normally associate with talking to an infant. “Try that again, I’m removing it...” Snickering he rubbed the young Wutain’s back glancing over to Sephiroth and rolling his eyes. “He should be awake here soon, the medication can last a few hours to close to a day, just depends on the day it seems.” The sound of a smaller boat pulling up beside theirs had Katana looking over the railing. “Well there’s our ride to shore.”

His shoulders shook with silent laughter at the exchange, and he nodded slightly at the information. Sephiroth didn't think it would've been a good thing if Tseng missed much of their first day here just because his medication was hitting him harder than usual. It made a sort of sense that it would affect him more with a vaccine still working through his system.

Looking over the railing himself at the boat, Sephiroth silenced the small part of his mind that had been wondering how the hell they were getting to shore.

One by one the Turks piled onto the smaller boat, many already talking excitedly about the first real vacation in a few months, yes they were horribly spoiled and they loved it.

“So where we staying daddy?” Veld pinched the bridge of his nose, praying to whatever god was out there to give him the strength to deal with these children. “The main Hotel, I thought of taking Shinra’s Villa...but...” The Turks all pulled different disgusted faces. “We know what goes on in that house, unless you burned it to the ground, salted it and sacrificed a virgin. There is no way to clean it.”

“We still can, we have everything we need.. Reno has his explosives, the bar has plenty of margarita salt, and we have our own virgin.” Tseng turned in his seat between Sephiroth and Katana and shot Two gun an extremely nasty glare. “I can fix that in a OW!” Katana’s head jerked forward as both Tseng and Rude smacked him.

Sephiroth's brows rose at the fact Rude seemed to have promoted himself from chaperone to 'deputy warden.' Though... Reno seemed to have done much the same last night as well. Did that mean the both of them had become attached to him, at least enough to be somewhat protective...? Smiling slightly, he shook his head in amusement.

“What is with everyone and hitting me today!” Katana pouted rubbing his head. “Because bad puppy’s get smacked, and I don’t have a rolled up newspaper.” Katana growled at Tseng, the younger teen purring at him in reply. “I swear it’s like watching a real cat and dog, Tseng is always teasing Katana.” Shotgun shook her head. It was always entertaining when they got into this spitting contests, especially like, at this very moment they were insulting each other in every language in the book including Elvish and Klingon. “Nerds....”
