Sword of Legends - August 1992 - Private RP

"Alright, keep an eye on the time for me, last thing we want is Rude busting in here and dragging us both out." The man damn well would, he was as strong as a bloody ox and used it to his full advantage, as he had proven first day Sephiroth was in the apartment. It was easy to strip since he was just in flipflops and the cargo pants.

Stepping in front of the mirror he scowled at the dark red blotches all over his chest and back. "I HATE THOSE UNIFORMS!!!"

Sephiroth couldn't help it, he started laughing at his brother's shout. Though... he did wonder what it was about them that irritated his skin. Was it the material, or the detergent used? Or maybe... if it was one that had been used before, it might have gotten a very small amount of Mako in the fabric?

A wet washcloth whipped out from the bathroom door nailing Sephiroth across the face. "That's for laughing at me you little butt munch." Tseng huffed and jumped into the shower hoping to get what ever was on his skin off of it.

Making sure it was quick so he didn't miss dinner he made sure he was plenty wet still and moved out into the room. Seeing Sephiroth still in his uniform he pounced the boy and wrapped himself around him making sure to get him plenty wet.

Sephiroth snickered as he pulled the washcloth off his face, throwing it back into the bathroom aimlessly. It wasn't his fault if he found Tseng's complaint amusing. He'd sat up at hearing Tseng come out of the bathroom, but had been completely unprepared for being pounced on. "Niisan!" Sephiroth protested as he felt the water soaking into his uniform, shoving him off. He did not want to walk around in wet clothes.

Laughing he rolled off the bed and grabbed his backpack. "Now you have to get out of that horrid uniform." Reaching into the bottom he pulled out a small bag and tossed it to him. "Think I wouldn't bring you any clothes just in case we didn't get our bags right away?" Grabbing his spare shirt he moved back into the bathroom to get changed. "And make it fast pretty boy, I'm hungry too."

Not liking the way the uniform clung to him now that it was wet, he quickly shed his soaked shirt and the rest of the uniform quickly followed. Donning the lightweight outfit he found in the bag, he chose to leave his boots off. They were only going up to dinner and then coming back, he didn't think it was necessary to put them back on.

Throwing his hair up in a quick ponytail he ditched his socks deciding it would probably be best to go up barefoot since he didn't exactly have sea legs. "Alright Seph, lets go up and get some food."

Up on the aft deck of the ship, a large buffet table had been laid out with high end, delicious smelling food. Everyone was already up there many with plates already in their hands as they sat around on deck chairs. Grabbing a plate and holding one out for Sephiroth he looked over at the food, pulling his nose at one. He tended to avoid Wutain food made by easterners like the plague, they could never get it right and it was hard for him to stomach it. Settling on some light weight foods that wouldn't upset his stomach should the waters get a little choppy he moved over grabbing a few wine coolers on the way and sat down at the last empty chair.

Sephiroth kept to foods he recognized, or at least thought looked familiar enough that he'd like them. He didn't think a boat was the best place to try something unfamiliar. He based how much he took off what he'd been eating lately, and tried not to compare it to how much some of the others were eating. The difference in appetite was less obvious when those around him had high BMLs...

Noting the lack of chairs, Sephiroth instead chose to lean against the railing near Tseng. Nothing he grabbed needed two hands to eat, as it was.

Seeing Sephiroth move to the railing, he sat up and scooted forward a little bit. "Otouto.. you don't have to stand up, there is plenty of room on the chair." Not like the two weren't used to basically being in each others pockets anyway. Seeing Veld move into the center of the group, most everyone quieted down, turning to look at their boss.. or dictator as most of them called him.

"While vacations are common for us, I just wished to thank all of you for the jobs well done you have done in the past few weeks. The missions have been difficult even for us, but we have pulled through.. some with flying colors. With that, there are a few promotions with in our group. Reno, is being promoted from second lieutenant to first..." Setting his fork down he clapped along side everyone else, watching with a smirk as Reno mad exaggerated bows to everyone.

"With that, the rank of second has been opened.. Even though he is new, he has proven from day one that he holds all the skills required to be a leader, and proven himself even more on this last mission. Congratulations Tseng, you're our new second lieutenant." The fork that had been half way up to his mouth clattered back to the plate, his eyes comically wide. "what?!" His voice was little more than a squeak causing everyone to laugh and cheer.

Veld smirked at the young boys face, everyone except Tseng himself knew of his plans for the boy, and so this promotion was not a surprise to any of them... except Tseng of course.

"Congratulations, Niisan," Sephiroth said quietly, sitting down in the freed up space and half-hugging him. Maybe he didn't quite understand how ranks worked within the Turks, but a promotion was still a promotion. And this was obviously one that Tseng had not expected at all if his reaction was any indication.

All he could do was open and close his mouth a few times before issuing out a squeak. Katana moved up and thumped him on the back winking at Sephiroth. "Just think Lieutenant, that's just two steps under Commander... Continue what you did on the mission and you'll be there in no time."

"Commander?!" Why was he suddenly squeaking so much?

That gave Sephiroth a little more of an understanding as to why Tseng was so shocked. Presumably the rank of Commander was of a similar height in the Turks as it was SOLDIER. However, the squeaking was amusing enough that Sephiroth chuckled quietly, letting his head rest against his brother's shoulder for the moment.

"Tseng love, untighten your shorts.. you're cutting the boys off." Tseng growled at that and hucked his roll at Katana's head. Laughing the man held his hands up warding off the barrage of bread. "What? no man over the age of fourteen should be allowed to make that high pitch of a noise unless he's cutting off crucial blood supply to his balls."

"And you all call me perverted, go away Katana.. and don't even think of staying just because your boyfriend is sitting behind me.. he's mine until he's fifteen.. and even then, he's still mine. You just get to borrow him for a few hours at night."

Possessive Niisan, Sephiroth mused at Tseng's words. Though... maybe it was to be expected after how protective his brother was of him. He felt as if he should make a comment, but wasn't sure of anything that wouldn't just backfire on him. Smarter just to stay quiet.

"Ohh panther has claws." Tseng actually growled low at him and hissed, sounding very much like a pissed of cat. "So not helping your case there Tseng."

"Katana stop pestering our panther, you keep it up i'm not gonna hold your hand when he rips you to shreds for touching his cub." Tseng both growled at smirked at Velds words. "You heard the man Balto move along like a good little puppy." Katana glared daggers at Tseng, who could only sit there and smirk. "Woof woof."

"Will both of you start drinking already so you pull the sticks.. or each others dicks out of your asses please." Tseng and Katana both turned bright red and glared openly at Shotgun.

Balto... it suits him. Sephiroth wasn't sure he liked being referred to as a cub, though it was less demeaning than 'kitten'. It made him sound more like he was Tseng's son than his cousin or brother. It was Shotgun's comment that left him glad he'd stayed out of it, snickering quietly at the expressions adorning both dark-haired Turks faces. They both liked it when he blushed, so he could certainly feel amused at either of them doing the same, and so brightly even.

Tseng glanced back and growled wrapping his arm around Sephiroth's neck and pulling his forward. "And what are you smirking at huh cub.." He held Sephiroth in a headlock and started to mess his hair up. "I'll teach you to smirk at me." The girls always knew how to make him blush and they used it to their full advantage, and being as pale as he was...the blush showed up easily. Though was always interesting when they managed to make Rude blush.

Sephiroth made a sound of protest, trying to get free without spilling or dropping his plate in the process. "Niisan!" Maybe he didn't obsess over his hair like some... fussing with gel and mouse and worrying if his part was straight. But he still didn't like the idea of it being obviously mussed. In retaliation, he jabbed a finger at Tseng's waist.

Tseng made a high pitched squeak and leapt to his feet, plate still in hand and rubbed his side. "Keep it closer to the chest Seph.. mmm.." He rubbed the spot Sephiroth hit, that part was heading more towards the wrong kind of sensitive.. well wrong for Sephiroth. Reno snickered from his spot across from them. "Did he hit the wrong kind of sensitive?"

"Yeah... thank Leviathan it wasn't lower." He sat back down glaring at his brother. "Pain in my ass"

He took advantage of the moment of freedom to quickly neaten his mussed hair with his fingers. Maybe he'd gotten a little lower than he'd intended... but he'd still obtained the goal of getting out of the headlock. Smiling somewhat back even in the face of the glare, Sephiroth occupied himself by returning to his food.

Tseng hissed at Sephiroth and sat down at the foot of the deck chair returning to eating and glaring at him.

The people who were there before they had arrived were starting to go back for seconds or walking around the deck of the ship. Knife and MA were hanging out near the railing. The deck had several big lights that shown down into the water illuminating it. Looking over at a splash Gun smiled bright and looked back. "Sephiroth, come here quick." She knew the boy had never left Midgar before, so never would have seen Dolphins.

Sephiroth had stilled a little at the splash, thinking it sounded a little random compared to the sound of the yacht's movement. Gun's call had him looking over, before setting his already half-empty plate down and moving over. Her expression combined with the splash were the only reason he didn't suspect her of planning on knocking him overboard.

Smiling brightly Knife pointed down and a little off the side. "We got a pod of Dolphins following us." A Dolphin a few feet away jumped from the water, followed by several more, you could hear them calling and talking to one another.

The other Turks slowly moved over all leaning up against the railing. "I heard there is an area around Costa where their are wild ones that will willingly swim up to you and you can grab on for a short ride... Rude is that true?" The big bald headed Turk nodded, "Yeah it's a small cove up towards the private beaches, you will get them down where the main people are, but the cove is the best place."

He tuned out the others almost completely as he leaned on the railing for a better look at the greyish water-dwellers. Sephiroth had come across a picture of them before, albeit a low-quality one accompanied by a very short blurb of information. He knew that they were actually mammals despite living in the water, and had to surface for air regularly instead of filtering oxygen out of the water like fish did. They were much more interesting in person... Sephiroth's eyes tracked their movement in fascination, pupils a little wider than they usually were during the day. They seemed to be somewhat intelligent in their behavior, friendly instead of aggressive or frightened by the presence of humans.

Tseng gently set a hand on Sephiroth's head, running his fingers through his hair. "Beautiful aren't they? We have our own species of Dolphin up in Wutai.. they weren't afraid of humans at all, used to swim right up to us. Very intelligent creatures..." He watched them, always having loved to watch the Dolphins back home. He had honestly forgotten how beautiful they were, Midgar was so gray and dank, with really only human life. To see wild animals again was a sight for sore eyes.
